Little Deck, Big Patio
Always fun to work with a neighbor! This home was only a block from my house, and now I know a neighbor much better.
He had an aging deck and patio. The deck we could work with but the patio was too small and worn.
We started with mulching the hillside. Then we built the retaining wall and added plants.
The patio was built using Genest blocks on a sturdy foundation with geotextile.
The deck uses MoistureShield decking; the biggest change to the deck was removing one side of the railings and replacing it with a wrap-around step.
