Hollis 1×4 Recover

This was a first; the existing deck had TWO layers of decking on it. The original pine deck boards were giving way, and a previous homeowner thought he could recover without removing the old boards. Of course, that just held moisture and the boards all rotted away. We removed the boards (what a mess,) shored up the framing, and installed new Deckorators mineral composite decking and their black metal railings. The railings have lighted caps. We also installed a new Marvin sliding door.
